The new Unilever Distribution Center of Unilever Thai Holdings has a floor area of about 44,000 m2. It consists of a central warehouse plus additional facilities for Unilever’s consumer and personal care products. In line with Unilever’s corporate policy, environmental issues were studies to minimize any impacts on the local community and surrounding environment. The critical environmental aspects of the Unilever Distribution Center were identified in advance and mitigative measures proposed for incorporation in the warehouse construction. Three aspects were worked out in detail and implemented during the construction. These are water supply, drainage & waste water treatment and waste management.
